Caring for your jewelry and fine gemstones
Gold Vermeil
- Apply your skincare products before putting on your jewelry.
- Avoid excessive rubbing to preserve the gilding.
- Use a soft-bristle brush with lukewarm water and mild (non-abrasive) soap to gently clean the jewelry, focusing on dirty or tarnished areas.
- Use a polishing cloth specifically designed to easily restore the shine and brilliance of your jewelry.
- Store your jewelry in its suede pouch (anti-tarnish) or in a jewelry box, in a dry place, to preserve its shine.
- For chains, lay them flat or hang them to prevent tangles.
Gemstones
- Use a soft-bristled brush or cotton swab with lukewarm water and a mild (non-abrasive) soap. Gently rub around the setting, then rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.
- Avoid wearing your jewelry during high-risk activities such as sports, swimming, gardening, cooking, or any contact with chemicals (chlorine can be particularly harmful to metals and gemstones).
- Be careful to avoid the stone catching on clothing, as this could weaken the setting.
- Store your jewelry in a safe, dry place, away from light when not wearing it to prevent damage or wear.
